The objective is to reduce strong regional influences and to control "rate of speech" for those individuals who believe that they speak English with a very strong Indian regional or foreign accent.
While the usual intended result is to come close to an educated Indian "English school" accent, Komark has also in the past provided training to attain (close to) a standardised English or US (East Coast) accent.
The effectiveness of this training, however, depends to a great extent on (a) the extent of the "regional influence", (b) the "ear" of the learner and (c) the age of the learner.
Right at the start, therefore, we listen to you speaking, sometimes give you some short exercises to do and then give you an estimate of how much you can do within the time available to you.
While we prefer to do this on a one-to-one basis, we do consider training small groups (not more than five learners)
